Letter from the Editor
This month has just flown by!
We kicked off this month with our 3rd Masterclass, The Maritime Sanctions Risk and TBML Masterclass, and would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all who attended.
We also published some brilliant new articles and book reviews on our website and hosted two amazing webinars - Ethics, Conduct & Compliance & The Opportunities and Challenges of New Technologies for AML/CFT - both are which are now available to watch on The RAW Training Hub!
Lastly, we have received a number of enquiries about new dates for the Crypto Regulation and Financial Crime Compliance Certification. So... we will be launching new dates soon! Make sure you stay tuned on RAW's social media for the latest updates.
The most important thing we would like you to remember is that this community is for you, and the best way to get the most out of it is to tell us what you need, so please do reach out and let us know what more we can do for you.
Thank you again for all your support and I look forward to seeing you at a RAW Compliance event!

Importance of "Compliance Sounds" Ringing from the Rooms of Top Management
There are two aspects of any approach; one is theoretical and second is practical. Theoretical is the one which is "What should be" and the practical one is "What Actually Happens".
Everyone accepts the fact of being compliant and no one appreciates being non-compliant. This is a theoretical angle. Have you ever heard any story or seen any movie where it ended with the moral of "Non-Compliant or Fraud or law breakers win the game"? Answer is NO.
But if we follow the theoretical aspect of "being compliant" then no one needs any audits, reviews or inspection, checks and balances or even there is no requirement of "Compliance Department/team/officer" because everyone accepts, respects and follows the fact of being compliant. |

Think Again by Adam Grant
Think Again by Adam Grant discusses the benefits of doubt, and how we can get better at embracing the unknown and the joys of being wrong.
Evidence has shown that creative geniuses are not attached to one identity, but constantly willing to rethink their stances, and leaders who admit they don't know something and seek critical feedback lead more productive and innovative teams. |
